My Most Anticipated Movies of 2010

Since the new year is just getting underway I figured I would give a run down what I'm looking forward to seeing in theaters this year.

The biggest movie for me this year is unfortunately also one of the furthest away Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'm a big Harry Potter fan and have found all of the movies in the series to be entertaining even if they are not all great movies.

The two most fun looking action movies for me this year are The Expendables and Ironman 2. The Expendables has an amazing cast of some of the best action actors of the last few decades. I'm not expecting a lot of story but I'm hopping for a really fun ride. I like the first Ironman and though it was a great looking movie but found the story not very memorable. I am mostly looking forward to seeing Robert Downey Jr. reprise his role as Tony Stark and also seeing what Micky Rourke brings to the table.
Other action movies:
  • The Last Airbender
  • Machete
A lot of big remakes are coming out this year but the two I have the highest hopes for are Wolfman and Red Dawn. It was taken for ever for Wolfman to come out and it looks like it might live up to the wait. I don't know that much about what's going on with Red Dawn but it was one of my favorite movies as a kid so I'm really looking forward to seeing a new take on it.
Other remakes:
  • Clash of the Titans
  • Let Me In
  • Robin Hood
  • Alice In Wonderland
I don't really get very excited about comedies but one I'm looking forward to this year is Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I'm a huge fan of the source material and Edgar Wright has put out some of my favorite comedies. I don't think Michael Cera is good casting for this role but hopefully he proves me wrong.

Three of my favorite directors are coming out with movies this year. Christopher Nolan his thriller Inception witch also stars one of my favorite actors. Darren Aronofsky also has a new drama due out this year called Black Swan. I'm not that excited about the premise but I usually love his stuff so I am excited none the less. Lastly John Carpenter returns this year with the horror film The Ward.

Lets get started

So I finally decided to try and commit myself to writing some reviews and things like that. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I'm going to go about this but and hoping to have things of the ground in the next couple weeks. You can expect to be seeing my thoughts on Movies and Music and probably a smattering of other things like Comics, Books and possibly the odd video game or two.

Sorry I can't say more just yet but I an currently getting organized for another semester of university so I don't have a ton of time to write something up today.
